Get lost in the charm of a building that was a hotel one hundred years ago, and has been brought back to life as an event venue on the third and fourth floor.

About the Building

The Pendennis Hotel was a hidden gem in the heart of Edmonton.

The Pendennis hotel was established in 1911, and had a very rich history before falling into disrepair. In 2003 the building was sold with the intention of restoring this beautiful river-facing property. After a seventeen year renovation, the Pendennis Building opened again in 2020 as a commercial space. We are honoured to say that in 2023, we are the first tenants in the space and want to restore some of it’s vibrant history. It was once at the heart of Edmonton’s night life, known for amazing dinners and wonderful parties. We look forward to creating our own history in the building and re-imaging the the space for todays’s Edmontonians.

About the Event Space

The Ballroom can sit up to 140 guests for a seated dinner. With bright, natural light, dimmable chandeliers, and a wall of historic brick, this ballroom is perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, corporate events, audience-style events like fashion shows, seminars, and more. Our cocktail bar is perfect for dance parties, networking events, and trainings. The Flex Room a unique space with an attached smoking balcony, and access to the patio which seats 140.

Our south facing balcony boasts stunning views of the river, the Muttart Conservatory, four of Edmonton’s bridges including the LRT bridge, and views of Downtown. Perfect for a family birthday, baby shower, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, or any party, the view and the experience, is unbelievable.

Please note, your safety is important to us. At every event you will find a security guard at the entrance ensuring our guests are safe, both in the venue, and on their walk to their vehicle at night.

  • This package includes almost everything you need from a venue. Our chairs and tables create a beautiful, elevated experience for you and your guests. And not having to set it up yourselves takes away so much of the heavy lifting.

    Our coordinator helps you through the process of putting your wedding together and thinking of the details. Once you’ve booked this package, you can focus on the fun details like who will be your photographer, and what florals will add the right touch.

    The extra hour means more time to party at the end of the night.

The Luxury Package

  • Everything from the Platinum Package with some key additions:

    • The Balcony for the whole day, including ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or your first dance at sunset overlooking the river.

    • 2:00 AM finish time instead of 1:00 AM.

    • Our Wood Dance floor in the cocktail bar.

    • Getting Ready Suite access at 9:00 AM.

    • Dinnerware.

    • White folding chairs for your balcony ceremony, and turnover to the cocktail hour.

    • A champagne toast for you and your guests.

    The Luxury Package:

    Access from 10:00 AM - 2:00 AM.

    The 3rd + 4th Floors including the balcony.

While the building doesn’t have any parking stalls associated with it, there is SO MUCH PARKING!

We know it can be really stressful or even annoying to find parking, so we’re here to make it easier:

  • Pre-pay for your guests.

  • Guests can register and pay for parking when they arrive with our team or at the Vibe Parking meter.

  • We can reserve spots in advance and provide a parking attendant ($50/hr for a parking attendant).

  • Attend an event and get a ticket? Let us know and we’ll get it waived, you just have to pay the cost of the parking + $50/hr.

  • Stay overnight? They have extended pick up time to 9am to ensure no drinking and driving.

Please take a look at the parking map to the right to see where the VIBE Parking lot is. It’s directly East of the Pendennis Building.
