More than simply providing a beautiful space for special events, the Pendennis has always been about creating extraordinary experiences and we are so excited to introduce the next evolution of our vision:

The Culinary Architects — our in-house catering division.

Designed to elevate every event hosted at The Pendennis, The Culinary Architects brings together exceptional culinary talent, thoughtful presentation, and seamless service to create food experiences that can add another dimension to any event.

From refined plated dinners to immersive tasting experiences, our culinary team approaches every menu first as an act of design. By crafting dishes in consultation with each client, we’re able to complement the occasion and add to the experience of the people gathered around the table.

Led by Head Chef Tamara Solon, a Red Seal Chef with more than a decade of culinary experience, The Culinary Architects delivers bold flavours, beautiful presentation, and thoughtful hospitality for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations.

About the Building

The Pendennis is a hidden gem in the heart of Edmonton.

Filled with light, hidden nooks, gorgeous brick, and a view from every room, the Pendennis is a magical place to host a party. We specialize in weddings while also hosting everything from private parties to publicly ticketed events.

Our ballroom seats 140 for dinner, 175 audience style, 200 standing

Our balcony and fourth floor can seat 140, and up to 200 standing.

Thinking of an intimate 50th birthday party, a Sangeet, baby shower, DJ party, art or fashion show?

We’ve already run each of these and would love to welcome your guests for your event!

The third floor cocktail bar makes a wonderful space for an intimate gathering of 20 - 75 guests.

The fourth floor flex room is fabulous for an Annual General Meeting, as a breakout room, games room, or quiet room for 8 - 60 guests.

The balcony makes for an iconic outdoor dinner party or cocktail hour from 20 - 150 guests.

  • The Platinum + Fourth Floor Package

    Everything from the Platinum Package Plus:

    The Fourth Floor all day includes the ceremony package outside with folding white chairs, set up and tear down

    Balcony Cocktail Hour with bar set up inside or out (weather dependent)

    Cocktail tables outside for the remainder of the evening

  • This package is designed for the couple who love the Platinum Package and want their ceremony outside on the balcony.

    With an outdoor ceremony, you go straight into cocktail hour, no turnover!

    The Ballroom for both Ceremony and Reception

    3 hour turnover (guests off-site)

  • This package includes almost everything you need from a venue. Our chairs and tables create a beautiful, elevated experience for you and your guests. And not having to set it up yourselves takes away so much of the heavy lifting.

    Our coordinator helps you through the process of putting your wedding together and thinking of the details. Once you’ve booked this package, you can focus on the fun details like who will be your photographer, and what florals will add the right touch.

    The extra hour means more time to party at the end of the night.

The Luxury Package

  • Everything from the Platinum Package with some key additions:

    • The Balcony for the whole day, including ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or your first dance at sunset overlooking the river

    • 2:00 AM finish time instead of 1:00 AM

    • Our Wood Dance floor in the cocktail bar

    • Getting Ready Suite access at 9:00 AM

    • Dinnerware and cutlery

    • White folding chairs for your balcony ceremony, and turnover to the cocktail hour

    • A champagne toast for you and your guests

    • In-house Sound System (full day)

    • Any of the Decor Packages

    • Ballroom projector

    • Lawn games

  • Prosecco, extended hours, extra service… this package has everything we have to offer to make your wedding day perfect. If you have more than 120 guests, your savings are a minimum of $2,000 from the Platinum Package.

    However, each item in the Luxury package can be added A La Carte so you can customize any package.
